(a) It is envisaged to make the Library as a hub of activities in the Vidyalaya. “Library Committee” – a sub – committee of “Academic Committee” will design various Library based activities.
(b) The Committee will also decide on the purchase of Library Books and ensure in preparation of List ofBooks to be purchased in consultation with all other subject Teachers and other Departments of the School. The recommended List of Books along with adequate study materials for students with Question Banks, Model Papers and reference materials,will be forwarded to the Chairman of the Trust for due approval and purchase as per the Budget allocation. Efforts will also be put-in toComputerize the Library.
(c) “Open Accession” will be followed in the Library. Children will be encouraged to write the “Book Reviews” of the books issued to them.
d) Apart from visiting the Library during the General Library hours as scheduled to each class, it will be an obligatory part on each student to read half an hour after dinner at their residence and maintain a “Log Book” based on his/ her reading.
(e) The Library will also act as focal point for guiding the children to shape their career through “Career Guidance Cell/Corner”. This concept will be given due priority gradually in the years to come along with the growth of the School.
With the help of other Language Teachers, particular days are selected to converse only in English throughout the selected days, all the activities are to be under taken only through the English medium.
Life Skill Development programmes to lead a successful life like a worthy citizen will be imparted by the teachersin a planned manner .
